Mobiusly Pty Ltd (ABN 99 134 460 183), trading as InterviewZap, is the entity responsible for the personal information you provide when using the Service. We are based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, and are subject to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy mean Mobiusly Pty Ltd.
We collect personal information in the following categories:
| Category | What We Collect | How |
|---|---|---|

| Opportunity data | Job titles and company names, the CVs and job descriptions you add, short summaries of them written by our AI provider, and any strengths or areas to improve you tell us about | When you add an opportunity or start a session |
| Session data | Interview questions, your answers as text (typed or transcribed), how long each answer took, the interviewer you chose, feedback, scores and timestamps | When you practise |
| Payment information | Your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, subscription status and billing dates. Your card details and billing address are held by Stripe, not by us | When you subscribe on our website (processed by Stripe) |
| App Store purchase records | The signed transaction Apple sends us: the plan bought, purchase and renewal dates, transaction identifiers and subscription status. No card or billing details | When you subscribe in the iPhone app (processed by Apple) |
| Usage data | Pages visited, features used, session duration, device type, browser type and IP address | Automatically, by PostHog on our website and web app (see section 6). The iPhone app sends none |
| AI request records | Each request we send to our AI providers and the reply, including the text it concerned (such as summaries of your CV and job description, and your answers), what it cost, and whether the AI declined it | When you use the AI features |
| Communications | Messages you send us through the support form or by email | When you contact us |
| Server logs | IP address, request timestamps, error logs, response times | Automatically by our hosting infrastructure |
| Demo | A random identifier for your device or browser (on iPhone, the one Apple gives our apps) and how many free demos it has started, your IP address to limit how often the demo can be used, and what you type into the demo | When you use the demo without an account |
We do not collect or retain audio recordings. When you record a spoken answer, the audio is transcribed in real time and then immediately discarded. Only the text transcript is stored.
We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:
We do not use your personal information for any purpose that is incompatible with the purposes for which it was collected without first obtaining your consent.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
We use trusted third-party providers to operate the Service. These providers access your data only as necessary to perform their services on our behalf, and for limited purposes of their own such as security and preventing misuse:
We send nothing to Anthropic or ElevenLabs until you agree. The app and the website ask before your first practice session, and before the demo. You can withdraw your consent at any time from your account page on the web, or from Profile › AI & Your Data in the app. Once you withdraw, practice sessions, feedback and spoken questions stop until you agree again. Your account and your history stay. Withdrawing does not recall information already sent.
Anthropic and ElevenLabs process this information on our behalf to provide these features. Neither uses it to train its AI models. Under their terms with us, they must keep it confidential and secure, and each may check content for misuse of its service. With each request we send Anthropic an identifier for your account, never your name or email address (in the demo, a code made from your device's identifier or your IP address), so those checks can tell one person's requests from another's.
If our AI provider declines a request, we keep a record of it, and several declined requests can suspend your account automatically, as our Terms explain. We may review the records of declined requests to decide whether to lift a suspension.
Your scores and feedback are written automatically by Anthropic's AI from your answers. They are for your own practice, and we do not use them to make decisions about you.
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or prevent harm.
If Mobiusly Pty Ltd is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
When you use the spoken answer feature, your device records your voice response locally and transmits it for transcription. In the iPhone app, Apple's speech recognition turns it into text, and may send the audio to Apple to do so. On the website, your browser's speech recognition does, and some browsers, such as Chrome, send the audio to their maker. The audio file is not stored by us. Once your answer has been transcribed to text, the audio is discarded. We retain only the text transcript of your answer.
Text transcripts of your practice sessions, together with AI-generated feedback and scores, are stored in your account so you can review your progress over time. To delete individual sessions, email us at privacy@interviewzap.com. To delete your account and everything in it, use your account page on the web, or Profile › Delete Account in the app.
When you upload a CV or job description, the content is stored in your account and used to generate tailored interview questions for your sessions. This data is kept until you delete your account, or ask us to delete it sooner. Once you have agreed, it is passed to Anthropic's API when generating your session questions.
We use PostHog, in the United States, to understand how people use InterviewZap: which features are used, where people get stuck, and what to improve.
